Privacy Policy

This draft explains what this website (https://mysiteaid.com) stores. It is not a claim that the operator meets any particular privacy statute. A lawyer should review it for the places where the operator and the visitors are located.

What is stored on this server

Scan requests, the resulting report, and the email used to unlock the detailed report.
Contact-form messages, including the plan someone asked about.
Widget site records: a site id, domain, contact email, and, for a Stripe subscription, the customer and subscription ids and the payment status.
Accessibility problem reports submitted through the widget.
Stripe event ids, so a repeated webhook does not create a second site.

Those records sit in files on the server operator's disk. This draft does not set a retention period. The operator should decide how long to keep them and write that here.

Payments

Card numbers are entered on Stripe Checkout, not on this server. This app stores the Stripe customer id and subscription id. Stripe's own privacy policy covers what Stripe does with the card.

Email

A welcome message or a billing link is sent only when the operator has set an email provider key. If that key is missing, the app does not send email. The install snippet is shown on the checkout success page either way.

Widget preferences

Display choices and the widget language are stored in the visitor's browser under keys that start with siteaid-prefs and siteaid-lang. Older keys that start with harborline-prefs and harborline-lang are still read and copied forward. They are not sent to this server. Problem reports are sent only when the visitor submits the form.

Sharing

The operator does not sell personal information through this app. Stripe processes subscription payments. An email provider, if configured, receives the address needed to deliver the message the visitor asked for. This draft does not promise that no one else can read the server files. The operator should restrict access to the disk and the admin password.
